  • INTERNSHIP

Gain experience

WWB works with highly motivated individuals excited about transforming the world. Our internship program is designed to provide undergraduates, graduates and post graduates with unique opportunities to develop both hard and soft skills in a friendly and hardworking environment. An internship at WWB is a great opportunity to learn and offer community service by participating and reaching out to women specifically and the society as a whole in areas of peace, human rights and security.

National internship

Internship programs are designed for Cameroonian nationals who are currently attending or who are recent graduates from a university. They are also open to local professionals and qualified individuals with strong interest in peace, security and human rights. It is a great opportunity for current students to gain experience in a professional milieu.

  • Cameroonian citizenship

  • Academic documents

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to stay for three-six months unless otherwise agreed.
  • Ability to work independently within a team and to drive.
  • Can work in a multicultural environment.

  • Ability and motivation to contribute effectively to both organization’s field work and office responsibility.
  • A general understanding of peace, security and human rights issues of women and the desire to know more.
  • Adherence to the confidentiality of sensitive information pertaining to WWB work.
  • Respect the copyright nature of all written documents prepared by interns, all of which shall be property of WWB.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, knowledge of French is an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy

WWB will not pay interns for their office placements and field work. Interns are expected to fund their own transportation, housing and living expenses during the internship period. In order to cover administrative and field work costs, WWB charges an affordable fee for each intern.

International Internship

WWB also encourages international internships. Our international interns will work directly with WWB staff to develop and implement our projects and initiatives. Given the importance of interns to the organization, WWB welcomes applications from different work and educational backgrounds in accordance with the current needs of the organization. An internship with us is a great chance to expand your skills, apply your education and work directly in the field of African peace, security and human rights. It’s also an opportunity to learn from our Cameroonian staff members and constituents/beneficiaries of the organization.

WWB International Internship Fee:

WWB charges a nominal fee for international internships for better facilitation, coordination, supervision, and effectiveness. Internship prices vary depending on the length of the internship, the project and additional services requested. The internship fees include the costs of housing and work-based transportation. Interns will be responsible for their insurance and visa applications. WWB will assist with a confirmation or visa letter to facilitate the application process.

  • We encourage interns that last three months or longer, so that interns have enough time to adjust and to understand the work and context of WWB and its projects.
